I have been working at Wheeler Mission for almost two years as a case manager in the Higher Ground long term addiction recovery program. Among the many ladies I've had the privelege to work with, Susan stands out as one of the most courageous in battling for life. I was able to journey with her and her battle with cancer until she went home to be with the Lord on October 14,2013. Susan fought the good fight, she finished the race, she kept the faith. I am running the Wheeler Drumstick Dash in honor or her amazing heart and dedication. This fundraiser is a way for those who grew to love her, to give back to the place where she found life and found Christ. All proceeds of this fundraiser go directly to Wheeler Mission and are tax deductable.
