This is a short synopsis of a giving and loving woman's life. After a long battle Suzanne lost to cancer in April. Suzanne was married to a Vietnam veteran for more than 30 years until he died of cancer at the age of 55 in 2007. Little more than a year later her mother died. She was blessed with 3 children. When she died she had 3 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. As a nurse, for 40 years, Suzanne loved the babies she took care of as a neonatal flight nurse. Also in 2009 she remarried. But tragedy struck one week after the wedding when her 30 year old son was shot and killed on the front porch of their home. This was a random act of robbery and murder. Through it all she was tough and was a support to her children, 7 brothers and a sister, and her entire extended family and friends. All who knew her never heard her complain. She once told my husband, "No use complaining, then people think you are a whiner." Through this all she battled cancer. Just two days before she died the family went to her and her husband's house for Easter potluck dinner. They did most of the work. She supported her second husband's love for hunting and became an archery hunter herself. He belongs to a club that assists wounded warriors hunt. In her honor we would like to raise money to support programs that help others wounded but never defeated. Even after death the love of the person doesn't stop. After volunteering and participating in the race for three years my family (husband and sons) want to form a team and do some fundraising in Suzanne's memory. Go team Suzanne!!!!
