On Monday April 13thI will be running the Boston Marathon as a third year member of the McCourt Foundation Marathon Team. This year, I have once again made a commitment to raise $5,500 and I am asking for your help. As you can probably guess, running a marathon is not easy but it pales in comparison to the lifelong challenges the thousands of men and woman affected by neurological disease such as MS and Alzheimer’s live with every day.
For example, MS is the most common progressive and disabling neurological condition in young adults. Currently, over 2.5 million people worldwide live with MS. Alzheimer’s is the sixth leading cause of death and is the only cause of death among the top 10 in the US that cannot be prevented, cured or even slowed.
Thank you in advance for your time and for your support. Please, feel free to post this email to your social networking accounts and / or forward to your friends. I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and Holiday.
