As one of Chloe's grandparents, we will never forget the phone call from our son Joel, saying, "Mom, go to this website and read about this. Our baby has this." From that moment on, the words Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome changed their life forever. Joel and Michelle researched and searched relentlessly for answers to find the very best options for their unborn baby girl, and on August 30, 2004, Chloe was born. She endured more than most in her short few days here on earth. God had another plan for Chloe, she passed on Sept. 3, 2004. The loss of a child (& grandchild) is one of the most devastating events of life.
As parents, there are no words to describe the heart-wrenching pain of watching your children go through a tragedy such as losing their baby. Also as parents, there are no words to describe the overwhelming pride of watching your children deal with a tragedy of losing their baby girl, and with the grace of God, finding the strength to honor her in such a positive way by helping others. The Chloe Duyck Memorial Fund was soon founded by Joel and Michelle in Chloe's memory. Through their dedication and commitment to raise awareness for research in this much needed area, many wonderful things have since happened.
We ask you to please join forces with us, once again, and support with us in this very worthy cause, and in honor of Chloe's 10th Birthday! Any donation will be most appreciated. Thank you for your support over the last 10 years.
Please note: This donation page is NOT in competition for the prizes, nor will be in acceptance of any. The fundraising efforts of this page are in continued love and support for Joel and Michelle, and in loving memory of our sweet baby Chloe.
