BENEFITING: UNICEF USA
ORGANIZER: UNICEF USA
EVENT DATE: Nov 03, 2013
My name is Brian Hummel and I am running the 2013 ING NYC Marathon for Team UNICEF. I have chosen to run with and fundraise for UNICEF because I believe in their simple goal:
We believe in a world where ZERO children die of things we can prevent.
I am running the marathon because it requires hard work, dedication, and willpower. These are the same qualities we as a global community must have if we intend to provide a life of quality for the generations to come. Whether you live in a booming urban metropolis or a remote village, the same principles apply. Thank you for taking time to visit my fundraising page and feel free to leave a small donation if you are able. And please know that your donation is actually going to a good cause…
The U.S. Fund for UNICEF spends 90.4 cents of every dollar we receive on programs that help children. Only 6.7 cents goes to fundraising, and 2.9 cents to administration.
A message from U.S. Fund for UNICEF -
UNICEF fights for the survival and development of all children, in all situations, all of the time. This relentless conviction has propelled UNICEF to help save more children’s lives than any other humanitarian organization. We believe in a world where there are ZERO starving children; ZERO exploited children; ZERO children denied an education, and ZERO children deprived of clean water. By joining Team UNICEF, you will help us get closer to a day when every child has a safe and healthy childhood.
