“How wonderful it is that nobody need wait a single moment before starting to improve the world.” –Anne Frank
Thank you for taking the time to visit my campaign site. My name is Mary Harney and I am a passionate Registered Nurse, runner, and volunteer. My past experiences as an international volunteer led me to provide medical attention to such population as the holocaust survivors in London, poverty stricken patients in Cairo, and the homeless masses in Dublin. Dublin also gifted me with the opportunity to mentor with one of the greatest Irish runners, David Martin. This translated into my fasted clocked race of my running career which raised funds for Amnesty International. I discovered that combining my passion for running and my inspiration to assist the forgotten populations around the world gifted me with a sense of fulfillment and purpose.
Upon return to the states I remained focused on this endeavor by continuing my volunteer pursuits with AIDS and Hospice Patients, isolated invalids, and the homeless. I continued to challenge myself as a runner by competing in the Philadelphia Marathon. The combination of these past experiences has now presented me with an opportunity to be part of the magnificent Unicef Mission. A mission that bestows the idea, that nothing is impossible and a world without hurdles is a world without triumphs. Together with your contribution we can eradicate such global childhood pandemics such as starvation, exploitation, and life saving medical equipment in war torn regions.
TOGETHER LET’S GET IT DONE!

UNICEF fights for the survival and development of all children, in all situations, all of the time. This relentless conviction has propelled UNICEF to help save more children’s lives than any other humanitarian organization. We believe in a world where there are ZERO starving children; ZERO exploited children; ZERO children denied an education, and ZERO children deprived of clean water. By joining Team UNICEF, you will help us get closer to a day when every child has a safe and healthy childhood.
