BENEFITING: Urban Initiatives
ORGANIZER: Urban Initiatives
I am running the Chicago Marathon to support 35 2nd-5th grade students at Nathanael Greene Elementary school in McKinley Park to help them make healthy lifestyle choices by participating on the Urban Initiatives soccer team and doing well in school!!!! My goal is to raise $1,000 for the kids at this school!
This is my first marathon and I want to help impact the kids by showing them how they can overcome a challenge through persistance, dedication, and goal setting. As many of you know, the impact we are making on the students is incredible as students grades are improving and kids are making healther life choices. I have seen first hand students overcoming their challenging situations all because of the motivation of being able to participate on their school soccer team. Students in the Urban Initiatives Work to Play program are 20% more likely to exceed their state exams than their peers so your support helps these kids excel in the classroom!
Your gift will help sponsor the 35 children on the Nathanael Greene’s team for the entire 2014-2015 school year, providing the players with quality coaching, nutritious snacks at games and practices, field trip busing, and a safe playing space.
THANK YOU IN ADVANCE as your contribution goes further than you realize to impacting the youth in Chicago!!!!!!
