This is United South End Settlements' (USES) second year as a John Hancock Nonprofit Partner for the Boston Marathon and we are proud to have two runners fundraising and training as a part of Team USES. Each runner has committed to raising $10,000 for USES by race day on April 17, 2017. Please consider donating to help them reach their goal!
The mission of USES is to build a strong community by improving the education, health, safety and economic security of low-income individuals and families in Boston’s historic South End/Lower Roxbury and to serve as a national model of successful neighborhood engagement. Established in 1891 and merged into its current form in 1960, USES serves over 2,100 individuals each year in the areas of youth development, education, family engagement, workforce readiness, and health, wellness, and home repair for seniors.
