BENEFITING: USO of Central and Southern Ohio
ORGANIZER: USO of Central and Southern Ohio
EVENT: Team USO
September 2016 I'll be running the Air Force 1/2 marathon in Dayton, Ohio. As a Service member myself, I have been the recipient of the care and hospitality that the USO provides. During deployment, they provide soldiers with a connection to their families, along with entertainment and relaxation. After service has ended, they continue to support soldiers as they transition to civilian life.
The USO of Central & Southern Ohio (USOCSO) is a private, nonprofit organization whose mission is to support military service men and women in 55 counties in Central and Southern Ohio, Northern Kentucky and four counties in West Virginia.
Life for our American troops and their families is filled with challenges...whether it's dealing with a new deployment, transitioning from service or coping with physical and psychological wounds. The USO-CSO is always by their side!
As a nonprofit, non-government agency, the USOCSO relies on fundraising efforts like Team USO and the generosity of donors to support programs and services designed to meet the everchanging needs of troops and their families. Additionally, the USOCSO regularly provides morale, welfare and recreation-type services to our men and women in uniform and their families including members of Ohio National Guard and Reserve Units, Active Duty airmen and families at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base (Dayton) and other Family Readiness and Warrior Support for all branches of the U.S. Military.
