BENEFITING: Acoustic Neuroma Association
An Acoustic Neuroma (Vestibular Schwannoma) is a rare benign (non-cancerous) brain tumor affecting the hearing, balance, and facial nerves. Many patients experience debilitating side effects pre- and post-treatment. Joe Vargo, of Team Vargo Runs and one of the fortunate Acoustic Neuroma patients who has overcome many of the post-treatment side effects, runs for ANAwareness. During the running of the 40th Marine Corps Marathon (Sunday, October 25th), Joe Vargo and Team Vargo Runs will carry the names of Acoustic Neuroma patients on the AN Wall of Survivors.
