EVENT: 2015 Boston Marathon
This will be my first year coordinating Team With A Vision for the Massachusetts Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired, but I'm no stranger to guiding. For the last 3 Boston Marathon's I've had the privilege to run alongside and guide our very own past TWAV'er David Kuhn. I look forward to guiding throughout the year with other awesome and talented athletes! The runners and folks who I've met have overcome amazing odds to prove to themselves and countless others that 'disability' does not mean 'inability.' Watch out BOSTON, heeerrrreeee we come!
For the last 22 years our international team of blind and sighted runners have raced to support individuals throughout Massachusetts living with vision loss. Their efforts allow the Massachusetts Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired to deliver professional, peer and volunteer support to over 1,100 individuals each year, giving them the support they need to live with dignity and independence.
All funds raised support MABVI's statewide network of vision rehabilitation services, which include 12 low vision clinics, 33 low vision support groups, and 300 volunteers matched 1:1 with blind individuals.
