EVENT: 2015 Boston Marathon
I started running as a way to improve and maintain my physical health. As a retinoblastoma and cancer survivor for almost 30 years, I am most grateful for every day that I can get through without having to hear about or deal with any consequential health problems as a result of this eye disease I had as a young child. My motto is just to live and enjoy life to the fullest.
I'll be joined by my guide, Carolyn, who is no stranger to the Boston Marathon! This will be her 8th time racing from Hopkington to Boylston St! Carolyn started guiding me this past summer and found the experience very rewarding! Carolyn was happy that I could provide her with an opportunity to run outside and do something for myself which was something she found invaluable when she was the mother of two young children.
I'm excited to be racing Boston this year with Carolyn by my side, it will be a fabulous feeling to cross that beautiful finish line!
