According to various reports and studies, “STEM occupations are projected to grow by 17 percent by 2018, compared to 9.8 percent growth for non-STEM occupations”, and “our economy will need 25,000 youth entrepreneurs by 2020. Also, it is documented that robotics is a surging market. The multibillion-dollar global market for robotics, long dominated by industrial and logistics uses, has begun to see a shift toward new consumer applications, including home entertainment, gaming, and the recreational-use sectors. The consumer-robot market is the fastest growing. The market for consumer and office robots will grow at a CAGR of 17% between 2014 and 2019, seven times faster than the market for manufacturing robots. COG and Technikes are giving a group of young women the opportunity to experience The inaugural event, hosted by the Toy Industry Association (TIA) and LeftField Media, will offer the opportunity to enjoy a weekend in New York and experience an interactive, fun-packed event. TIA has a long history of leadership in toy safety, having helped develop the first comprehensive toy safety standard more than 40 years ago, and remains committed to working with medical experts, government, consumers and industry on ongoing programs to ensure safe and fun play.
