Technology for Special Education Students
Organized by: David Hall
My name is David Hall and I work for the Greenfield Union School District. I teach the Bridge program for our district. The bridge program contains students that are not low (academically) enough to be in a moderate/severe class but are not high enough to be in a special day class. The majority of the students that I work with have Intellectual Disabilities and also Autism.
Whithin our society, technology has become an amazing tool for humans to use in their daily life. The technological advances that have been made over the last couple of years are amazing and there are so many resources that can help students with disabilities. I am trying to raise funds so that I will be able to buy a classroom set of tablets. These tablets would be used in my student's daily life when completing activities such as reading, math computation, and while using applications that will allow them to become more verbal and engaged in our daily lessons. I would appreciate any type of support that would help me achieve my goal. Thank you.
