BENEFITING: FRANKLIN COUNTY ANIMAL SHELTER
Teddy came to us when his owner had run out of options. A four month old Ragdoll mix, his owner had found him as a stray. However, she soon noticed that he was peeing himself in his sleep and never seemed to make it to the litterbox. She took him to a vet and he had surgery to repair trauma to his genital region that he had experienced in his stray days. It didn't seem to help so his owner turned to us. We took him to Falls Road Veterinary Clinic for evaluation. Dr. Morton and Dr. Chaplin found that Teddy's penile opening was very small, which wasn't allowing him to fully empty his bladder. He also had a lot of swelling in that area that was causing him to pee in every which way. Working together, the vets performed reconstructive surgery to try to correct the issues. Teddy is staying with them for the weekend with a catheter in to see if it worked. Teddy is a very adventurous and charming young fellow who captures everyone's hearts. We couldn't say no to the surgery and the possibility of a normal life for Teddy. Any donation to help cover his costs is very much appreciated!
