Teeing Off Against DC: The Second Annual Linus and Leonard Memorial Golf Tournament, which will take place August 19, honors identical twin brothers who died as a result of having a rare, genetic condition known as Dyskeratosis Congenita. Born and raised near Sleepy Eye, Minn., Linus and Leonard Huiras and their families were profoundly impacted by the disease. The illness caused severe problems in the men, including aplastic anemia and degenerative hips, the men maintained their ability to golf despite their symptoms. The event will raise money that benefits families in the DCO community.
