I am starting a club at my school in partnership with the Marjaree Mason center to educate my peers about domestic violence. In order to do this, we need to help the Marjaree Mason Center fundraise, in order to utilize their help. Since this is such a large amount, I need a lot of help. The budget breakdown can be found among the pictures on the left.
If you would like to stop the cycle of abuse with this generation to ensure that future generations of children grow up in happy families, please find it in your hearts to donate. If you would like to mail a check, please contact me for details.
For me, education has always represented a golden gateway to change. My role models have always stressed the importance of education in overcoming poverty and making a difference in the world.
I believe this can be applied to abuse as well. As parents, teachers, and peers are the most influential people in our lives, I believe that educating my peers can prevent abuse for generations to come.
Change starts with the young, and by informing them about abuse recognition and management we will stop the cycle of abuse.
