BENEFITING: Gage Academy of Art
Teen Art Studios (TAS) at Gage Academy of Art is a free, year-round, evening drop-in studio art program for young artists ages 13 to 18. TAS delivers quality art training to teens from all backgrounds, provides exhibition and portfolio building opportunities and encourages positive social engagement.
Each month a different professional working artist teaches a specific art form, engaging teens in learning new skills, making art and developing new friendships in a supportive, safe environment.
Themes span a range of traditional and contemporary art subjects, including figure drawing, printmaking, portrait painting, figurative casting, altered book sculpture, basic anatomy and mixed-media assemblage.
TAS runs Thursday evenings at Bellevue Arts Museum and Friday nights on Capitol Hill, and all skill-levels are welcome, from beginning to advanced teen artists.
There is no registration required – teens are welcome to drop in when they can or come every week. Art supplies and refreshments are provided.
We need YOUR help to continue to deliver high-quality professional art instruction to teens in the Puget Sound area. With your support, Seattle-area teen artists will continue to enjoy free programming and educational art opportunities in a safe and inclusive environment of learning and camaraderie.
Please join with us in helping to empower teen artists of all economic and social backgrounds, and help ensure Teen Art Studios continues to provide FREE, vital arts programming in our region.
