BENEFITING: 3rd AABN Spouse Club
HOURS PLEDGED: 4
In school I volunteer and dedicate my time to various clubs to help raise money and awareness through not only the school, but my local community as well. This past year, after I ran a half marathon for the San Diego Zoo Safari Park’s tigers and a 50k for the Wounded Warrior Project, I realized that I wanted to do more. This sparked the interest in my want to raise awareness and fundraise for an organization or charity that I could potentially have a connection with. Then came the opportunity to team up with 3rd AABN Spouse Club.
When I first mentioned that I was interested in doing something like my very own “Teen-in-Training,” my mother suggested doing it for tracker families in need would be perfect due to the fact that we are a tracker family. So running to support the 3rd AABN Spouse Club was the perfect opportunity to combine what I was looking for!
With my dad being stationed thousands of miles away, running has been the way that we have been able to stay connected. Four years ago I ran my very first 5K with him, and since then we have trained together, have ran together, and have raised money together through running. So he also is taking a stand and helping me by running races and promoting this charity to contribute to the fundraising and spreading of this organization.
There are existing groups that raise money while training for races that support different causes, and throughout this school year I hope to raise money for 3rd AABN Spouse Club as I train and run my own races. If you want to give for every mile I run, or every race I complete, or even just a one time donation, donating is easy and every dollar adds up. Help me go the extra mile and give to a charity that supports and helps families of our nation’s military that are stationed here at Camp Pendleton. It would be greatly appreciated if you would help support the 3D AABN Spouses Club and join me on my journey by becoming part of my team on here and by helping me spread the word to raise even more money and awareness.
