Teens Without 2 is a registered 501c3 Non Profit Organization that provides college scholarships to teens being raised in single parent households. Teens Without 2 was created on June 25, 2013 by Katie Mitchell who was raised in a single parent household and personally knows the financial struggle teens face when it comes to paying for college. In order to gain a college education, Katie sought out scholarship opportunities and was the recipient of multiple scholarships, allowing her to graduate debt free from Virginia Commonwealth University with her degree in Forensic Science. With the desire to help others achieve their dreams of attending college, Katie has worked hard planning fundraisers to raise money to award scholarships to teens expressing financial need. Through successful fundraisers, Katie has awarded 5 college scholarships totaling over $3,300. The Broad Street Mile is another fundraising opportunity to increase the scholarship amount awarded to the future Teens Without 2 scholarship recipients. It will be a fun race, for a great cause! Your support is greatly appreciated!
