Help purchase two large, rugged military canvas tents for activist training center + leadership gathering in April! $810 more pays for two!
In April, a group of 80-100 activist leaders who come from across the board of social and environmental justice and peace organizations all over the country are gathering in Missouri to forge an "all-in" collective national strategy of nonviolent transformation. The strategy will coordinate efforts to confront the emergency issues of our times, including: our militarized police system and incarceration, addiction, industrial and environmental racism and classism, sacrifice zones, and -- most overarching -- the imminent, catastrophic collapse of our planet's climate and ocean ecosystems, and the accelerating 6th Great Extinction.
These activist leaders need housing to camp in while gathered for 10 days on 160 acres in rural Missouri. Beyond that, the strategy training center (one of hundreds) that will be formed on-site will need housing for the continuing influx of activists in the months to come.
This fundraiser is to pay for two large military surplus canvas tents that can be erected semi-permanently onsite. The movement that is forming is based entirely on donation and gift economy, to giving individuals and communities freedom of time and labor to serve effectively.
Providing shelter for the upcoming gathering is a very direct way to assist the revolution, and help bring people together to work more effectively. Every little bit helps, as always. Let's knock this out of the park. Thank you!
