Cancer continues to touch our family
April 10, 2016
BENEFITING: LAZAREX CANCER FOUNDATION
EVENT DATE: Apr 24, 2016
My twin brother Gary was diagnosed with Mantle Cell Lymphoma just days after our 50th birthday; he is the inspiration for my journey...
I am running Big Sur Marathons to raise money for the Lazarex Cancer Foundation, which provides financial assistance to cancer patients to help cover the costs associated with participating in an FDA clinical trial. They also help patients navigate their clical trial options and provide community education and outreach services.
While this race may be a tough physical challenge for me, it is nothing compared to the many challenges Gary and other cancer patients face, not the least which is the financial burden of cancer treatment. His current prescription chemotherapy medications cost $12,250 per month, and he could not afford them without the assistance from organizations like Laserex. Please help me raise $1,500 to further their cause - every dollar counts! Your donation will inspire me in my training and help those who need it most.
Thank you in advance for supporting me, Lazarex Cancer Foundation and the many cancer patients they assist. My brother wouldn't be where he is today without the support of donations from people like you.
We both thank you!
