A common statement in my office is “Who Am I?” and it’s not due to memory loss or any multiple personality disorder but because I am so many different people or entities during a day – on Facebook & Twitter, that is. I am a deceased soul singer one minute and a city initiative the next. Sometimes I’m a barbeque sauce then transforming into a superhero, or a medical spa or a film festival. At SoChi Companies we speak on behalf of our clients to the Facebook world and Twitterverse.
One of the benefits of doing this as a career is that it keeps your brain “on its toes” so to speak. Personally, I’m hoping it’s an Alzheimer’s defense. My paternal grandfather, Joe Sandefur, suffered with Alzheimer’s for years and eventually died of it. It was excruciating to watch, especially to see how it affected my father who oversaw his care. My father, Joe Sandefur, Jr. died unexpectedly a few weeks ago of pneumonia-related causes. I’m participating in Dancing Stars of Central Georgia in memory of my father, an Alzheimer’s caregiver, and my grandfather, an Alzheimer’s victim.
