On Saturday, November 3, 2013, I will be running the NYC Marathon with Team CDF Gluten-Free™ to help us raise money for the Celiac Disease Foundation.
Last summer, my daughter became sick and her medical workup determined she also has Celiac. Her gluten-free diet has helped with healing and she is on the road to recovery! I am so proud of her fight for wellness! I am running in honor of her strength and to help spread awareness for Celiac Disease. 1 in 100 people have CD, and if it is in the family the chances are 1 in 22, as I found out I am also Gluten intolerant. We feel great on our Gfree diets and want to support this cause. As a husband, father, and physician, I thank you for your donation and support.
The money raised by CDF Team Gluten-Free™ participants goes directly towards summer camp scholarships for children on the gluten-free diet as well as celiac disease and non-celiac gluten sensitivity advocacy, research and support programs. Celiac Disease Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, public benefit corporation.
