BENEFITING: HILLEL THE FOUNDATION FOR JEWISH CAMPUS LIFE
Every Thanksgiving for the past 28 years, we have fed over 200 homeless people in New York. The Thanksgiving Feed the Homeless Dinner has been the longest running program at Tanger Hillel at Brooklyn College. The entire event is student-run and a real example of how the community comes together for a great cause!
Collaborations include fraternities, sororities, and a multitude of diverse clubs on the Brooklyn College campus. Student volunteers coordinate, plan, and serve food during the event.
A donation of just $15 provides two meals for a couple of homeless New Yorkers.
This year it has been more challenging than ever to receive food donations. We are asking you be our partner, to join Hillel and make an impact.
Your $15 contribution is an opportunity for:
• 200 attendees to receive a hot Thanksgiving meal
• An unforgettable bonding experience for 250 student volunteers
• An informal way of learning Jewish values of giving and kindness
For many, $15 is a few cups of coffee, a ticket to a movie theater, drinks for happy hour or a cab ride. By just skipping one of your weekly luxuries, you WILL be making a significant impact on those who depend on this annual gift for nutritious food, music, and a reminder that they are cared about.
Donate for Thanksgiving!
