THE STORY:

More than 350 children and families facing food insecurity across our community won't have a Thanksgiving meal this year without your help. Together, we can raise enough to purchase turkeys for families and pair those with donated side items to create a whole holiday meal to provide sustenance and hope for families in need. Even in tough times, there is much to be thankful for - and we are thankful for a community willing to come together to help their neighbors! For supporting our Thanksgiving Meal Drive and for all you do to care for the hungry children and families in your community, thank you!

I have recently submitted my application to sit on the Board of Directors for the Smyrna/LaVergne Food Bank. I am looking forward to working with this organization to change the face of hunger in our communities. I asked that all of my Facebook friends, if possible, support this great cause. We can all take the necessities for granted, but there are many in our community that rely on the generous donations and kind hearts of perfect strangers to simply nourish their bodies. We will see tons of requests to help the less fortunate during the upcoming Holiday Season, I ask that you seek out a grassroots organization that puts your donations back into your community. 3 years ago
