The 10th Hispanic/Latino Book Fair of New York (HLBFNY). The HLBFNY, which features more than 40 writers each year, is the most important book fair for Hispanic/Latino communities in New York City, with over a thousand attendees every year during the three-day event. This cultural event is free and open to all communities. Each year, the HLCCNY also recognizes a member of the community who through his or her work has opened doors for Hispanics/Latinos in the United States. The Book Fair is scheduled to take place on October 7-9, 2016 during Hispanic Heritage Month. The money raised will be used strictly for the production of the Book Fair. The HLBFNY is run by volunteers so no member of the organizing committee receives any monetary compensation. For the volunteers, it is a labor of love. We know that you also have as a mission a desire to give back to the local community and we would greatly appreciate your support of this event.
