Thank-you for taking time and giving Morris and his friend this opportunity to introduce my work, characters and a chance for you to help my stories come to life. I'm in need of funding to complete the illustrated children's book. The work is illustrated by Gabriela Issa Chacon. Her beautiful, inspiring illustrations bring Morris and the Hekkapekkasaurus and my other upcoming projects. The funds will be going for illustrations, marketing, publishing. The Adventures of Morris and the Hekkapekkasaurus Young Readers, ages three through six, will find Morris a delightful read. This story is about a Saurus from the land of Kalamazoo. The Saurus is brought to town by his new friendship with Morris. The problem is that the people of the town are busy and on a schedule. They find the Saurus to be a bothersome and huge nuisance. The creature eventually destroys a park and is forced to leave until he is called back to help the town rid itself of the dreaded Grrrs. Six-year-old Morris is an inquisitive, impulsive dreamer who meets a very special, magical dinosaur. His new prehistoric friend, however, threatens the morals of the small, busy town of Leemer because he's different and doesn't fit in. Mayor Snipper-bell is determined to have the dinosaur vanquished from his fair city, but Morris is determined to show his dinosaur has what it takes. Can the town of Leemer and Morris ultimately come together and split their differences against the feisty, hairy, ill-mannered Grrrs? Complete at 3700 words, my thought-provoking graphic novel, The Adventures of Morris and the Hekkapekkasaurus, is sure to appeal to middle-graders, who care deeply about things and people and love to daydream about their future. Priscilla's pursuit of the Perfect Purple Priscilla loves all colors. She becomes obsessed with the one color she can't have. Gallius Fin is introduced to her and shows her hundreds of colors. Then she spots his tie; it is the perfect color, and she must have it. Gallius warns her that this is a cursed color and not to pursue this any longer. The princess demands his tie. He gives the tie to her with a final warning. Her greed, vanity, and search for perfection slowly eat away her fortune. Priscilla is a Pompous princess that's delights in her own personal collection of colors. She decides that her kingdom should be one perfect color, so she calls all the designers in the land, to show the most spectacular colors the eye can behold. She finally meets with the designer and color expert, Gallius Finn. Gallius shows her a multitude of colors, but the princess seems bored and her royal attitude becomes more disdained. She finds the perfect color not in the samples Finn had brought for her, but in his tie. This starts the search for the Pursuit of the Perfect Purple. This is a story that warns the reader of the pearls of the pursuit of perfection.
