People like Tim who struggled with health issues, housing and finances before his life was changed by The Arc of Atlantic County.
Demand for Support Grows
Tim was unable to get the help he needed because he did not have documentation. After his family died and left him on his own, he was victimized by people who took his money and food. He was barely surviving when he finally found the help he needed at The Arc of Atlantic County.
The Need for Case Management
With support from his Case Manager, Tim was able to:
- Apply for and maintain his participation in Medicaid and Social Security
- Obtain Section 8 housing and receive assistance with his security deposit
- Apply and maintain Home Energy Assistance
- Get transportation to medical appointments
Tim is now protected from people who would victimize him. He receives financial oversight and help with life choices. His life is good again and it started with support.
More People Need Support Each Year
