ORGANIZER: The Arthritis Society
EVENT DATE: May 07, 2017
32 years ago my mom Lois, was told she had rheumatoid arthritis. When she was first told she contemplated how this would affect her life. What limitations would she face? Well, it turns out not too much!
She's been able to manage her arthritis with medication but still experiences weakness is in her hands and soreness in her joints at the end of each week before her next dose. There are some days when she's stiffer or more sore than others. There are days when when her hands stronger than others. She says she's lucky that she's found medication that works for her. My mom doesn't complain about it, and as she would say "she just keeps doing what she's doing". In her 70th year, she's super fit, loves to golf and travel and is training for her first (but not her last!) 8km road race!
