Black Hearts Brunch and Mini Holiday Market

The Black Heart Brigade exists to defend a woman's right to socialize without fear. Women who wear the Black Heart have sworn an oath to protect other women from unwanted attention, sexual harassment, and sexual assault. If she's wearing a Black Heart, she has pledged to do everything in her power to protect you, no questions asked. If you think you are in trouble, feel unsafe, have had too much to drink, or just need help getting away from a bad situation - look for a Black Heart - She's Got Your Back. Our goal is to raise enough money to 1. Design and buy the Black Heart buttons. 2. Apply for a business license and become a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. 3. Create a website where women can sign a pledge and receive a Black Heart button as a symbol of solidarity and safety. 4. Start the first Black Heart Brigade in Washington DC. 5. Help others organize Black Heart Brigades of their own, in every city in America, every college campus and and every other area of the country where women should feel safe but don't.
