The mission of HEAF is to transform the lives of underserved young people, beginning in middle school and continuing in college and beyond, through a youth development approach that includes rigorous year-round academic enrichment, social and cultural exposure, and constant individual attention. We are bowling for HEAF to continue the mission of excellence...support us and our fundraising goal.
EVENT DATE: OCT 19, 2016 DEADLINE TO GIVE: OCT 19, 2016
Eleven years. That is the mutual commitment between HEAF and each of our scholars. Before our students even formally begin their middle school years, they make a pledge to attend college. And, HEAF pledges to ensure they walk across two graduation stages: high school and college. To turn that commitment into a reality, we offer year-round academic support through core programming with a focus on youth development and leadership, innovative courses, and opportunities for students to learn from professionals in a variety of careers. Some of our HEAF Scholar highlights include: 100% graduate high school on time 100% gain admission to four-year colleges 80% earn Bachelor’s degrees within six years 35% earn advanced degrees Our goals this year are simple, but critical: increase visibility, continue to create innovative programming, and ensure our sustainability.
Here is what you can do to help!
Create a team of seven with your friends, family, or coworkers and work together to raise a minimum of $800 to directly benefit HEAF students and programming. ...Because Young Minds Matter.
We will bowl for two hours at Frames Bowling Lounge; shoes, beer, and snacks are all included. One of the trophies will be given to the team with the best name, so have fun and be creative!
