Morphing Creative Minds (“MCM”) is a 501(c)(3) organization that educates, inspires, and encourages youth to identify and pursue their artistic goals. Its programming helps students develop their creativity and teaches them important artistic skills. It is principally located in Central Los Angeles, CA but also conducts programming in Washington, D.C. We currently conduct programming at local, third-party venues. While it currently uses third-party space, MCM is in the process of acquiring space of its own to conduct its programming. Our largest planned event is The Bungalow Music & Arts Festival (“TBMAF”). With a Coachella-esque feeling, TBMAF will be a three day event of live music, arts and activities for middle and high school students, a perfect spring break "must do" for youth to enjoy without having to miss any schooling. The festival will be held on a college or university campus, allowing the institutions of higher education to not only support youth in the arts, but also to have a presence during the festival being able to offer information about the college admissions process to youth who are juniors and seniors in high school. Placing the festival at local colleges and universities also allows for convenient and affordable access to public transportation and safe parking structures. In a world where technology has separated us, it is natural for us to have the desire to come together and festivals cater to that communal nature. They are the bandages through which we connect to each other as artists, again and again, in ever-enduring ways. The festival will include mainstream musical guest artists, but the focus will be on highlighting youth music acts from around the country. These groups will be new and aspiring young artists. MCM and its supporters expect the exposure they receive from the festival to help these acts get noticed and grow their fan base. The mission is to expose youth attendees to the arts and talent, on a local and national level. We will champion local artists and use the festival to shine the spotlight them. While musical guests with more commercial success would be invited as closing acts, about one-third of the festivals line-up will be reserved for growing independently operated youth acts. It is crucial for youth as they embark on a music career just to reach multitudes of people around the world. Given the opportunity to perform at TBMAF, youth would learn first-hand how to build, grow and maintain an audience. They would also develop stage presence and an understanding of the music business, creating long-lasting relationships along the way. These younger performing artists would potentially become a part of the "club" to higher ranking festivals as they mature and gain popularity. The festival will also include local vendors, food trucks, arts and crafts stations, and stations for rock climbing, skateboarding, and other similar activities. We expect to include music education programs at the festival as well. For some time, Morphing Creative Minds has been diligently working to secure investors for our passion project and guess what? We found one potential investor!! Well, sort of *wink... So here's the thing!! Rapper TI "Tip" Harris along with the newly enhanced music streaming company Tidal is ready to put his money where his mouth is. The two recently introduced the Money Talks Education initiative which they will match the fundraising profits of an organization and we at Morphing Creative Minds are up for the challenge to raise funds to get the youth music festival up and running... Sooooo We need your help... Follow along, make donations and lets make this happen for our youth!!
