BENEFITING: MONTEFIORE MEDICAL CENTER
ORGANIZER: MONTEFIORE MEDICAL CENTER
After running my third marathon in 2013, I could list a million reasons why it was my LAST. ONE. EVER. Blisters, black toenails, waking at 4 am to run before the summer heat. Why would anyone do that again?
But then something amazing happened. I started working at the Children's Hospital at Montefiore (CHAM) as a medical geneticist. CHAM is an incredible pediatric hospital with an unwavering commitment to provide the best possible care to the kids in the Bronx. I feel privileged to be a part of the CHAM community, and I'm showing my appreciation by joining the Champions for CHAM team.
Over the next few months, I will be training for the 2017 NYC marathon, logging hundreds of miles to prepare for the 26.2 on November 5th. I will some miles in honor of my patients. I will run some for their parents. I will run for my fellow doctors, nurses, and everyone at CHAM who helps make it such an amazing place.
Thank you for your generous support!
