The Dawning of Dawn's New Day - A story of 4H love
Organized by: Deb Harrison
Dawn is awesome. That really is the best way to say it. She goes above an beyond for the 4H program, giving of her time and limited financial resources in order to increase children's self-confidence, promote education and make a whole lot of animals feel loved. When she fundraises, it goes to the club. "Free" time = little to none, though she does enjoy caring for her animals and nurturing youth enthusiasm.
She works two jobs as a single mom, organizes club activites, checks in on the emotional and physical well-being of the kids and their families and keeps that ever witty Dawn charm - yeah, that's what we'll call it - in worn out sneakers and often without a working vehicle. ; )
I could list a bunch of ways she has helped my children, but it is not just about them. I continue to bump into people who note how much she has done for the program and encouraged their children.
She is ready for change. She is looking to also be able to build her own resources, so she can potentially additionally do great things in her own business and not have to always work 7 days a week. This takes money, for investing in education, time off (as possible - she is reliable and is there when needed), resources, etc.
If goats could donate, we know their hooves would be clapping and millions would be raised to the cheer of "mehhhh, Dawn," but since we need to stick with people, we will go smaller than millions.
Whatever you can give will help her keep rocking it. Love you Dawn!
