As some of you know through my posts on Facebook from September to April, I stand strongly in both sadness and anger against the Taiji Dolphin slaughter by fishermen. These fishermen inhumanely capture hundreds of dolphins during their drive hunt season, separating dolphin families with strong social bonds, with the purpose of sending them to a life of imprisonment in aquariums. Those dolphins who do not qualify as show material are then brutally killed. I am raising funds to support the mission that The Dolphin Project is committed to: to let the world know about the plight of these dolphins and gain the support of the greatest powers of the world to help and put an end to this senseless slaughter. I will be walking 13.5kms on the 12th of August from St Andrews to Kingsbarns (part of the Fife Coastal Path) and my target is to raise at least £700.00. You can sponsor my walk by donating to Crowdrise. You are also welcome to come with me on any part of this walk, with the inspiration that one day all dolphins can swim freely in the seas of the world ! Dog, friends and family all welcome ! Event details: Saturday 12th of August. Meeting point East Sands, St Andrews at 9.30am.
