BENEFITING: Brothers and Sisters in Community Service
Hi everyone! Bob, Audrey, Lauren and Kerby will be traveling to Tijuana this summer on a week-long mission trip. The Tijuana ministry helps the impoverished families in the area by building homes and leading community programs for local mothers and children. The goal of our mission is to enable the poor of Tijuana to build grace-filled lives, break the cycle of poverty and attain independence. We help them build safe homes; we share our friendship and we create long-lasting bonds with the community. While in Tijuana, we come face to face with a completely different culture, learn about the issues of immigration and poverty, and try to understand what it is like to live in their shoes so we can bring that message back to others.
Being in Tijuana is such an eye-opening experience because it helps us realize all the blessings we have that we take for granted. It’s our responsibility to give back in any way we can; to be disciples and to walk like Christ.
Bob and Kerby traveling to Tijuana this summer from June 25 to July 2, and Audrey and Lauren will be in Tijuana from July 9 to 16. This is Bob and Kerby's first year on the trip, and Audrey and Lauren's fourth trip. We need your help. Each of the participants has been asked to raise $500. This money goes towards the cost of construction materials and supplies as well as the community outreach programs. We would greatly appreciate any support for our mission, whether it's through a donation or your prayers for us and for the people of Tijuana.
Thank you so much for supporting us and opening your heart to this ministry! The Gerughtys
