BENEFITING: GEORGE EASTMAN MUSEUM
Nicholas Perlet wrote -We Love George Eastman and want to honor his amazing life of giving and helping others. The truest form of a gentleman, his generosity was as astonishing as his massive fortune, which he gave away in such grand fashion. We want to remember him by preserving and maintaining one of the country's most important landmarks, George Eastman's personal residence at 900 East Avenue. Completed in 1905, the Georgian revival mansion was Mr. Eastman's private residence until his death in 1932. It is the most memorable structure on New York State's most sterling residential strips. The property is a stunning symbol of his imperious will and work ethic in bringing the wonders of imagery to the world, and the world to Rochester's doorstep. Since Eastman was profoundly dedicated to the enhancement and building up of Rochester, NY to be the best place to work, live and raise a family; we feel its necessary to protect and maintain one of his most prideful accomplishments, his home.
