BENEFITING: Los Angeles Mission, Inc.
The Los Angeles Mission and our Anne Douglas Center for Women is in need of an economical transport/cargo van for use in our programs, donor services, volunteers and maintenance service. The van will be used to transport guests with luggage to and from hospitals, the street or to various appointments such as medical, parole or church. Because guests frequently have bags or suitcases that can vary in cleanliness a utility van is most practical for transporting persons and stuff. On occasion we will use the van to pick up individuals discharged from the hospital or to help pickup persons off the street and transport them to shelter at the Mission or a partnering agency. Such outreach activities are best executed in cargo type transportation. Whether we rescue a person from the streets, transport groups and equipment for outreach ministries or just do a Home Depot run for extra supplies, the Sprinter Cargo/Van will be used to maximize our ability to provide hope, help and opportunity to Men, Women and Children in need. We think of this as a “HopeMobile”. Thank you for your kind consideration of the proposal on behalf of those we serve.
