Hope For The Day’s Humboldt Mile, presented by Revolution Brewing, is a chip-timed one mile race that will take place on May 21, 2016 in Humboldt Park. This inaugural event, with 26th Ward Alderman Robert Maldonado’s endorsement is brought to you, in part, by Dark Matter Coffee and 3Run2. The Humboldt Mile honors mental health awareness month, with 100% of the proceeds benefitting Hope For The Day’s suicide prevention and mental health education programs. Suicide claims almost 40,000 lives each year and is the second leading cause of death for youth, 10-24 years old. Silence is the major obstacle in suicide prevention because prevention begins with a conversation. Hope For The Day has been activating this conversation in America, Europe and Australia since 2011.   Registration Details Individuals: If you are participating as an individual or family simply click on the REGISTER button and follow as prompted.  Team: If you are part of a team, click on the 'team' option and search for your team name.  I want to create a team:  1.
