The Isaiah B. Aronoff Foundation
Organized by: Eli Aronoff
The Isaiah B. Aronoff Foundation was established to honor the memory of this young man who was taken from us all too soon, on July 28, 2016, in an auto accident. Isaiah was 18 years old. One month prior to his death, he graduated Northwood High School in Silver Spring, MD. There, Isaiah played football, lacrosse, ran track and wrestled during his four years at Northwood. He was accepted for admission to Richard Bland College of William and Mary, in Petersburg, VA, where he intended to study Athletic Training. Isaiah's legacy is that he was a very caring person, willing to look after the needs of others before himself. His final conversation with his father was regarding his concern for a friend, whose ability to meet their financial obligations to attend college was in question. The foundation being established in his honor will support students/families in the communities which had a great impact on Isaiah's life, which include: Northwood High School in Silver Spring, MD; Ohr Kodesh Congregation in Chevy Chase, MD; Temple Shalom in Fredricksburg, VA; Congregation Temple Bethel in Philadelphia, PA. Annual awards will be made to assist families in meeting their child's educational needs, whether for tuition, books or ancillaries etc. Should there not be a family in these specific communities who are in need of financial assistance, the award will then be made to other families in the States of Maryland, Pennsylvania, and Virginia. The Foundation is managed by TIAA Charitable.
