Lamon Reccord

Isaiah Montes was a Chicago Activist and Organizer that worked on gun violence prevention. Chicago little brother Isaiah Montes was a passionate individual that was fulfilled with motivation, love and determination. Isaiah was a person that believed it was impossible to fail. He was a brother that will and has helped many people he came in contact with during his life time. He would have the heart and the willingness to give up his last. A sacrifice isn't a sacrifice if it isn't hard to give and Isaiah was a man of integrity and a man who made many sacrifices. February 10th was the day he passed away in a car accident in the Roseland community on the south side of Chicago. It happened 8 o'clock that morning.

Isaiah was the closest person I had in my life, closer than biological family. When he passed away, he literally took half of my life from me and I couldn't do nothing but ask God "Why not me?", Why can't we switch spots?" But while feeling like that, I had to remember that me losing Isaiah is my motivation and that he's my purpose of why I'm still alive and why I'm still fighting for this youth generation.

"The Isaiah Foundation" is simply dedicated to helping others. Helping young people ages 14 to 19 with summer jobs, opportunities and resources. Giving the youth the opportunity to be placed in a position to have a dream. Giving the youth the love, faith and hope that will allow them the be great and better people in the future. The Isaiah Foundation is dedicated to ensure that Chicago youth is productive in todays society with the service we provide.

What jobs do we have to offer?
- Community Watch / Patrol to ensure other residents and neighbors are safe, patrolling the streets after children with summer school get out.

- Block / Community Clean Up Sessions with "Go Green Chicago". Having the youth going out in the community and clean the streets. Picking up trash off the sidewalk and out of neighbors yard and throwing it away. This give young people the opportunity to hold not only their selves accountable, but others in the community.

- Black Owned Business Promoting. This job is having young people going across the City of Chicago to black owned businesses and interviewing the owner of the store. All interviews will be broadcasted live via Facebook page "Buy Black Chicago".

- Chicago Car Washing. Chicago youth will be paid commissions from every car they wash and will get paid hourly as well.

The Isaiah Foundation is asking for people to contribute financially to this cause.
