BENEFITING: SPECIAL OLYMPICS MONTANA INC
Hello, our names are Kendra Loomis and Jordan Kappler and we are getting married!! Woohoo!! We met and fell in love in the Badlands of North Dakota. Our relationship has been filled with love and adventure. We are very excited for the next stage of this adventure. But, weddings suck. Planning it is exhausting, budgeting is stressful, and it's inherently a selfish endeavor. However one of the many things we agree upon is that we want our wedding to benefit someone other then ourselves. So, we figured that instead of family and friends spending money on material items, which we don't need, we would much rather it go to an important charity. During our relationship we've always always valued experiences and charity over material items. We are so happy to have the opportunity to bring awareness to a cause close to our hearts. The reason the Special Olympics Foundation is our charity of choosing is because of the lovable Olympian in our family, Micheal Loomis. Micheal Loomis is the coolest dude we know. He welcomes everyone with a smile, always game for a good prank, never holds a grudge, is a gold metal Olympian, and just happens to have down syndrome. He began his Special Olympics career in elementary school and continues whooping ass to this day. Whether its a family game of Uno or an intense basketball match, Micheal is going to bring his good nature competitiveness and occasional smack talk. As his sister, and soon to be brother in-law, we have both been on the receiving end of his enthusiastic competitive spirit. The Special Olympics Foundation affords Micheal the ability to be part of a team, along with many others. The essence of teamwork is invaluable because of its ability to forge friendships, break down barriers, and create healthy social environments. We would like to continue the tradition that the Special Olympics Foundation has established by donating any funds we can gather to assist them in their work. Thank you!
