Hey Fam, thanks for checking us out! Many of you know I´ve been traveling around South America since last June. During that time I came across and researched a ton of non-profit and volunteer organizations - and the Marina Orth Foundation is by far the most legitimate out of all the organizations I encountered. Here in Colombia a lot of people live on minimum wage (which is only 236 dollars a month) and some live on even less - this is not really enough to live comfortably, especially if you have a family to take care of. Our foundation focuses on two things which HUGELY improve their chances of actually getting a job which can get them out of the poverty cycle - English and Technology.
So far, awesome things are happening in a variety of schools, community centers, and other centers for learning in Medellin and the surrounding area. BUT we want to expand so that we can reach more people! To do that, we need more money. Your contributions are greatly appreciated by myself, the rest of the organization, and particularly by the Colombian families whose lives can be improved significantly and permanantly from the knowledge they obtain through the organization.
Muchas Gracias! Jack
