BENEFITING: THE MOYER FOUNDATION
ORGANIZER: THE MOYER FOUNDATION
We are so pleased to be able to participate in the NY Marathon to benefit the Moyer Foundation. We have both been recreational runners for our entire lives and we can finally put our years of recreation to a good cause. The Moyer Foundation provides comfort, hope and healing to children who are experiencing grief or have a family member struggling with addiction. Through their signature camp programs and online resource center, they help children explore their feelings, establish peer support and build resilience. When grieving children discover that they are not alone, it can be transformative. When children with addiction in their families have access to mentors and learn that it's not their fault, it breaks the cycle of addiction.
Please help us support this amazing foundation and the children who benefit from these life changing camps and resources. We have begun our training schedule and we are getting stronger everyday working toward this 26.2 mile goal. We can do it! Any little or big support will help us achieve our goal of raising $6,000!

The Moyer Foundation, a public, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with offices in Seattle, WA and Philadelphia, PA, was founded in 2000 by MLB, World Series Champion pitcher Jamie Moyer and his wife, Karen.
The Moyer Foundation created and supports two free signature programs: Camp Erin ®, the largest national bereavement program for children and teens who are grieving the death of someone close to them, and Camp Mariposa® is a first-of-its-kind addiction prevention and mentoring program for youth impacted by the substance abuse of a family member.
The Moyer Foundation brings together a wide network of community partners who host camp programs, raise awareness, and share in the mission of helping children experiencing grief and family addiction.
Funds for programs and initiatives are raised through special events, corporate partnerships and individual donations. The Moyer Foundation is grateful to all of the dedicated volunteers, corporate sponsors, in-kind and individual donors who join our team—to help give hope to children impacted by grief and family addiction.
