The National Association for Missing and Exploited Children, Inc. is a not‐for‐profit charity organization founded in 2017 consisting of professionals and volunteers whom serve missing and exploited children in the United States. An association of professionals and volunteers who assist child victims of exploitation; in prevention, rescue, procuring legal representation, safe housing, and rehabilitative therapy. NAMEC works in support of the children who are runaway/missing and exploited. NAMEC is the first and largest Missing & Exploited Children's association in the world. The association works to advance the needs of missing and exploited children through educational programs and legislative advocacy efforts before governmental agencies: Federal, State, and Local Legislatures. The purposes of the Association include: -advancing the assistance of victims of child exploitation. -articulating and advocating the needs and interests of the child victims before legislative, administrative, and judicial branches of local and state governments. -cooperating on behalf of the professions and volunteer groups with persons and firms directly and through their associations in matters involving missing and exploited children. -promulgating policies and conducting activities for the betterment of missing and exploited children.
