THE STORY:

THE POWER COMPANY KIDS CLUB wrote -

The Power Company empowers at-risk, inner-city children to not only become productive, successful, contributing members of society, but to become the leaders of the next generation. We reach the children of Pontiac and Detroit in their homes, on the streets, and in the schools.

Hundreds of school children (K-6th grade) are brought to the Power Company Kids Club every Saturday, free of charge, where they enjoy an action-packed atmosphere filled with fun, games, and focused, directional teaching.

Every child who attends the Power Company is visited at home every week by his or her Team Leader, creating lasting mentoring relationships. The Power Company visits 1,600 children every week!

The Power Company also offers after-school leadership development courses, free transportation to all programs, summer park outreach, summer leadership camp, Christmas gifts, feeding programs, college scholarships, public school assemblies and emergency clothing and provision.
