Do you believe that young people can change the world? We do. That's why University of Connecticut is partnering with CCEH to ask early childhood centers across Connecticut to join us in helping their students appreciate the importance of making sure everybody has a home and taking action to help other children in their communities. UConn ChildLabs will be basing their learning on the Connecticut Coalition to End Homelessness's "be homeful" lesson plans, which use the children book character Paddington Bear's experience with homelessness as a jumping off point for exploring why having a home means so much to all of us. Then, in honor of Paddington's favorite food, their daycare will be holding a schoolwide "marmalade drive" to raise funds for the be homeful fund, which provides emergency assistance to families in our communities facing homelessness. Please join us!
