BENEFITING: MONTANA HOMEOWNERSHIP NETWORK INC
EVENT DATE: Nov 02, 2015
The 2015 Home Center fund drive campaign kicks off at 4:00 pm on Wednesday, October 7th and ends with a celebration on Monday, November 2nd.
Last year’s successful campaign enabled the opening of The Home Center this spring. The Home Center has been able to attract experienced staff members that have been successful in obtaining their certifications from The NeighborWorks Center for Homeownership Education and Counseling (NCHEC), and now has two certified counselors and one certified educator to serve the Billings Community. Since the opening of The Home Center, more than 50 clients have been able to receive homeownership and financial counseling, and more than 85 households have attended the First Time Homebuyer Education classes. Additionally, more than 40 individuals have also been assisted with housing related referrals and, with the recent addition of a full time Intake Coordinator, The Home Center will be prepared to assist more individuals with an expanding variety of housing services in the next year.
The overall goal for the 2015 Fund Drive is $100,000. Last year, Billings banks, credit unions, and other businesses pledged more than $116,000 toward The Home Center. These supporters understand the value of The Home Center -- more mortgage-ready homebuyers, more home sales, more financially secure families and individuals, and more qualified renters.
Home is where it all starts, and donations start here.
