Fight Hunger - Take the CalFresh Challenge

Every day in San Diego, very low-income families, elderly and the disabled put food on their tables using CalFresh, the modern version of food stamps. The average CalFresh allotment for each person in San Diego is only $4.18 per day or $20.92 for 5 days. Raise awareness of hunger in San Diego County by taking a walk in the shoes of those living with this reality every day.

Make an even greater impact by fundraising during the Challenge to help more San Diego families access the food they need.

This year, individuals who raise $100 will receive a San Diego Hunger Coalition tote bag and free admission to our CalFresh Challenge event planned for the end of May. Whether you raise $25 or $250 you are making a real difference in the lives of our community's most vulnerable populations.

Can't participate or funraise this year? Make a direct donation to the San Diego Hunger Coalition to help the fight against hunger!
